so thanks for the tip off to this amazing artist dude!
This is the first piece of inking I've ever done, this was done in about 8 hours, without the pen tool in the end cos I just couldn't get to grips with it so I decided to freehand it in photoshop.
I'm really hoping to work some more on inking, the shading I know needs work lol as does the consistency of the lines, but for my first attempt I'm pleased with it

Good James Stone. Need to go down to Cosmic Comics for the Sunday meet up.....
This one has some nice work, but i agree, thier is a balance with comics and thier inks.
Lighting, hard black and thier transitions to grey is important.
Line weights and textures.
.....And remember its fun, sling some ink get messy....soap i need soap...ah its in my eyes now. LOL
Some resource book for inking i like are Gary Martin's Series, Drawing with Dick Giordano, And for hybrid th Freddie williams III book.
Try this agian in a bit, Steigerwald from Aspen had me do the same inks 4 times to push it more each time i did it. just dont over do it to many times.
