So, I have a folder titled "In progress" on my HD which contains quite a few, you've guessed it, in progress pieces from all over dA from the last few years!
I've been working a lot on my shading and highlighting lately, "what's new?" I hear you cry! Well, here's the new part. Looking back over my older work, I can see that I didn't know what I was doing. In fact I've just opened up a few pieces and erased entire layers due to the awful realisation that when I was working on it, I had no clue.
I think the fact I'm going back in with renewed optimism and can actually see where I'm going wrong now is a massive step forward in my creative process and my understanding of my colouring as a whole. The fact I can now look at something and think "that's where it should go" (for the most part! I'm still making mistakes and still very much learning) means I'm getting there and that I'm on the right path.
I'm having a lot of fun and I'm going to posting a lot of these "In progress" works as completed deviations soon! Stay posted
Thank you so much to those who've taken time to fave, comment and even just take a look at my stuff, it's all appreciated and it's all impacting positively on my work.
